A beloved wife, mother and grandmother went home to be with her Lord on December 7, 2011 at 4:20 a.m. surrounded by loved ones.

Warren, San Jose, CA. two Sisters Dollie Johnigan and Doris Johnigan of SanJose, two brothers Vernon Johnigan of Los Angeles, CA and Wallae Johnigan of Tyler, TX and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends.
Although a devoted wife and mother she retired as a successful realtor and banker for many years. Her college education included business and economics.
She is clothed with strength and dignity, and she laughs with no fear of the future. When she speaks, her words are wise, and kindness is the rule when she gives instructions. She carefully watches all that goes on in her household and does not fear the consequences of laziness. Her children stand and bless her. Her husband praises her. There are many virtuous and capable women in the world but you surpass them all. Proverbs 31:25-29.
From your loving husband, Clifton Warren:
Over 50 years ago I asked Mary to marry me as we were standing at a quiet fork in the road. As we looked at the road, we noticed that - one road was greatly traveled and barren; the other road was less traveled and full of life. I took Mary's hand in mine and I said to her, Mary look at the two roads real close and tell me which road would you like to travel. She looked into my eyes and she said Clifton I would love to take the road with you - the one less traveled. For well over 50 years closer to 60 in love we traveled this road hand in hand as man and wife - until the day the father called her home. From the love of my youth until now I shall cherish that union eternally.

Klauspeter Wilfred Boegner , otherwise known as "Peter" was born to Karl and Helena Boegner on October 8, 1938 in East Germany. Peter was the third sibling born under this union. Peter has two brothers; Dieter and Baldur Boegner; and two sisters, Ursulah and Karin Boegner. At the age of 7, Peter and his family fled the inner German border to West Germany to escape the Soviet-German War/ World War II. His fondest memories he had while living in East Germany was he and his sister playing in the snow on their sled. The Boegner family left Germany for New York in 1956.
Upon their arrival, the Boegner family were met by church members who helped them to become established in America. From New York, Peter moved to Palo Alto, California. Peter attended Palo Alto High School and graduated in 1957. There he made many friends. After high school, Peter went on to Foothill College and studied Zoology for two years. Being a huge fan of soccer, Peter joined the Palo Alto Juventus Soccer Team and won a cup! Peter spoke great things about his teammates Warner, Alex, Cornell, Happ, and the team coaches. After working in electronics, Peter went on to become a dry wall taper. Peter also volunteered a lot of time to efforts like helping to build churches and helping in the community.
One of the greatest joys of Klauspeter's life was the birth of his daughters, Gina and Gloria Boegner. He also loved his niece and nephews. Peter was a true family man.
In 1982, Peter met Mavis while leaving from work in Menlo Park. Peter saw Mavis walking home with a large basket of laundry on her head. Being the caregiver that he is, Peter pulled over offering Mavis a ride - but she refused. Persistent, he kept circling around the block and insisted until she finally gave in. Mavis and Peter dated for one year but went their separate ways. After 10 years of praying for her, Mavis and Peter were reunited. They soon wed and have been together ever since sharing both joy and sorrows. With their union, Peter gained additional children - Lilian, Shana, Marshall, Leslie, Roderick, Rochester and Olawallie.
Besides soccer, Peter was a lover of nature, classical music and history - everyone knows Peter was a good historian! Peter enjoyed sauerkraut and potato dumplings in bed. Peter had a wonderful sense of humor; he was very athletic and would compete with the kids in push-ups and, of course, would win.
Peter awaits the arrival of his wife Mavis; his children Gloria and Gina Boegner, Shana, Marshall, Leslie, Roderick, Rochester, and Olawallie; his grand-children, Mia and Antonio Curiel Jr., Kayla, Chelsea, Destiny, Anglica, Julietta, and Christian Thomas Jr; his siblings Dieter, Baldur, Ursulah and Karin Boegner; his nieces and nephews; and a greater community of family, friends and brothers and sisters in Christ.

Upon first meeting Noreen, a native of Blackpool, England, she impressed you as a friendly and cheerful person with a ready laugh. She had a cute English accent and English names for things such as "bonnet" for the hood of the car and "mum" for mother. It was also sweet the way she and Sam, her husband, referred to each other as "louv" or "louvie" for love or lovey.
Noreen had lived through the many bombings of England during WW II which left her with a permanent fear of all loud noises. Therefore the fourth of July with all the noisy fireworks was not a holiday in America which she enjoyed. Sam, always protective of his English lass, let people know all they had to do during the fireworks was take her hand to keep her calm.
Although she wanted them, it was not meant to be for Noreen to have children. She would have been such a good "mum" with her English background which so believed in proper behavior for children.
Noreen had a darling little white toy poodle named Peppi whom she loved very much. Although Noreen was not into a lot of cooking, that lucky little poodle enjoyed freshly cooked ground beef with steamed rice prepared by Noreen regularly. One of the times Peppi was "guesting" at her brother-in-law's house while Noreen was away, his girls, small at the time, dressed Peppi up in a hat and cape and entered him in a best dressed pet contest at the local library. Peppi won a first place ribbon which Noreen proudly displayed on her refrigerator for a long time.
Although Noreen knew how to dress up and fit in with the best of company, she was a very down-to-earth person and easy to talk to and get along with. She was in that unusual category of innocence among adults – no hidden agendas, no preconceived calculations. She was very much honestly and simply with you in the moment.
She followed Sam in all things – very much like the biblical Ruth followed Naomi. Where Sam went, Noreen would go and where Sam would stay, Noreen would stay. His people were Noreen's people and his G-d, Noreen's G-d. When Sam died, Noreen died so shortly after and now where Sam is buried, Noreen is also buried. Noreen will be missed.
Noreen was preceded in death by her husband, Samuel Nissim.

Sam was the descendant of Spanish Jews who had made their way to Turkey after the Inquisition. From there the family made its way to Jerusalem, where they had lived for many generations by the time that Sam was born in Mandate, Palestine. Sam lost both his parents as a young man and saw his family pulled apart as he headed off to London to study. One brother was sent to live with an aunt and uncle in Palestine, another brother went to live with another aunt and uncle and a sister was left behind as the family scattered. Sam had the opportunity to study in London as a result of a scholarship, which recognized his potential. Being the oldest he took responsibility for his family from a young age. He encouraged both his brothers to continue their studies through college when they had the opportunity, Yossi in New York and Eli in Bristol, and with Yossi, came up with the cash to buy Judith a house in Jerusalem so that she could live on her own.
Sam's roots were deep within the Jewish community, his upbringing Orthodox and even in the United States he honored that upbringing as a younger man, not riding on the High Holidays.
Sam was generous with his brothers, even when they didn't need his support, as he would later get satisfaction from being able to spoil his nieces and nephews with gifts.
Sam came to the United States in 1955, and after living for a while in Michigan, Denver and Los Angeles, came to settle in Saratoga in 1980.
It was a great atmosphere in which to be an entrepreneur and Sam enjoyed many satisfying years working hard in Silicon Valley.
Despite the challenges that had marked his life, Sam had a positive, optimistic outlook and a great determination. That determination, though an asset in business, made it hard for Sam to accept help from others or to move out of his home.
Up until the last few years, Sam was healthy, but then developed heart problems that became much more severe.
The gifts of Sam's life – his intelligence and determination, his desire to help others, his generosity, the good times he shared with family and friends will be remembered.

Interment:

Shawn Hailey - Ashawna
Resident of San Jose and Kauai
Silion Valley Pioneer
Shawn passed away at home in peace on October 14 at the age of 62. Shawn is survived by his children Neal Hailey and Nora Hailey and by his brother Kim Hailey. Shawn was born in Lubbock, Texas, on October 8, 1949. He attended Texas Tech University, where he co-founded Data-Link Corporation during his senior year. After graduation, he moved on to Martin Marietta to design the launch sequencer for the Sprint Anti-ballistic Missile System. He joined Kim at General Instrument as a microprocessor architect in 1972. He continued computer design at AMD in 1974 by building their first Intel compatible processor - the 9080. While at AMD he also introduced their first non-volatile memory family that competed with the Intel 2708. In 1979, Shawn and Kim founded Meta-Software. They introduced Hspice, a circuit simulator that has become the world standard for high speed circuit analysis. Together with the 120 members of the Meta team, the company went public in 1995 and today is an important part of Synopsys. Videos of this history can be found at silicongenesis.stanford.edu
After a successful career in technology, Shawn embarked on an even greater challenge: the creation of Ashawna, an Independent Entertainment Professional. This was, perhaps, his most important endeavor. This metamorphosis opened the doors on an adventure which brought the newly formed Ashawna into contact with myriad kindred spirits. Ashawna approached the world with a loving and creative, playful, trickster genius that lightened and inspired the lives of those around her. Shawn, Ashawna and all that they created will be missed greatly. We who survive her are eternally grateful for the opportunity to have known her.
Over the years, Ashawna has helped guide and support many causes. She worked with Maps.org to forward a Phase II trial for subjects suffering from treatment-resistant post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD). She was a strong supporter of CODEPINK, the American Civil Liberties Union, and Second Harvest Food Bank. Contributions to Ashawna's favorite causes can be found at www.ashawnahailey.remembered.com.
Whether it was a morning board meeting, a lunch at Taco Bravo, a dinner with President Obama, or an all night dance, the sparkle of Ashawna will be missed and cherished by us all.

Peggy passed away peacefully at Amberwood Gardens nursing facility.
Funeral services will be Sunday, October 9th at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Lutheran Church (1500 Leigh Ave).
She was a beloved wife, mother, sibling, and friend.
Peggy lived in Minnewaukan, North Dakota; Vancouver, Washington and southern California. She has lived in the South Bay for the last 25 years, many of them with her mother, Beulah.
She was known for her devotion to her grandchildren, service to church and family, and her unconditional hospitality.
She is survived by her mother, Beulah Burgess; siblings, Marvalou Linn, Gary Burgess, Penny Brunell; children, Tonie Enright, Eugene Setzer, Bob Setzer Jr. and Terrie Barnes; eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren (with one more expected soon).
She will be dearly missed.
Peggy Jean Gillenwater: A Brief Biography - By Bob Setzer, Jr. (with help from the family).
Peggy Jean Gillenwater was born to Gene and Beulah Burgess on April 11, 1936, in Devils Lake, North Dakota. Her family lived in Minnewaukan, but the town was too small to have its own hospital. In 1944 they moved Vancouver, Washington so her parents could work in the shipyard as part of the war effort. Her mother was a welder and her father a mechanic. Her mother later went into nursing and her father worked as a mechanic for the school system.
Peggy went to local schools in the Vancouver area until she married Robert (Bob) Setzer in 1951 and had their first child Tonya Darlene (Tonie). Although her personal schooling was truncated due to her early marriage, education was always very important to Peggy. She instilled that belief in her children and made sure that they all graduated at, at least, the high school level. Indeed, all her children have some achievement at the post secondary level, some with college or even advanced degrees. This says a lot about the spirit of a low income single mother of four from a rural area in North Dakota. Peggy eventually went on to obtain her GED (in 1968) and earned several vocational certifications in the nursing field.
After his service in the navy during the Korean War, Bob Sr. and Peggy Setzer moved to the Montebello area of southern California in 1956. In 1959 they bought a house in the suburb of Placentia in order to raise their growing family. By this time they had added Eugene (Lewie), Bob Jr., and Terrie.
While living in Placentia, as a result of an auto accident while traveling and a quick succession of difficult pregnancies, Peggy acquired what would become a life long struggle with agoraphobia (a fear of traveling that, in severe cases, causes people to become house bound). This occurred at a time when not much sympathy was given to phobias, or other mental illnesses for that matter. Her illness took a toll on the marriage and she was divorced in June 1, 1964. Her illness, and her inability to travel, were the biggest regrets of her life.
Owing to her illness, the children moved back up to the Washington area with their father so that they would have his family as a support structure. Peggy worked at various jobs as a waitress and in the nursing facilities in the southern California area. She married Floyd Main in 1966. In 1969, her children, now in their adolescence, moved back down to live with her. They lived in various cities in southern California - Santa Ana and Anaheim. Her daughter Tonie married 1972. In 1973, Peggy's marriage to Mr. Main was dissolving and she moved with her children to Glendora, California, where she worked as cook in a nursing facility. Her two youngest children graduated from Glendora High School. She also met Floyd Gillenwater, with whom she would eventually marry and stay with until his death 2002. Eventually all of her children married and started families of their own: Lewie in 1976 (and again in 2001), Terrie in 1977, and Bob Jr. in 1986.
With her children out of the nest Peggy and Floyd started working their way up to the Bay Area, where her sister Marvalou lived with her family. She first moved to Oceana, then to Pismo Beach, and finally to the South Bay. During this time she focused on family, friends, work, her church (Trinity Evangelical Lutheran), and her grandchildren. Eventually her mother came down to live with her after her father's death in 1995.
Peggy will best be remembered for her devotion to her grandchildren, service to church and family, and her unconditional hospitality. Her grandchildren will remember her particularly fondly. Those that lived close by would go on weekly outings with her - fishing at the Santa Cruz pier, petting zoos, etc. The older ones, who lived farther away, would look forward to visiting grandma during the summer or on holiday breaks. Her grandchildren's friends were always welcome. She enjoyed showing them around and her advice was always, "Hey, try something new." In her church she was a lay-leader, always making sure there were fresh candles for the service and doing whatever else needed to be done. She served as president of Lutheran Women's Missionary League for seven years, and always volunteered her efforts for vacation bible school. Her service and hospitality was always heartfelt and unassuming. When it came to entertaining the family her motto was, "The more the merrier." If two visitors were good, five were better. If you were willing to accept the humble accommodation that a full house had to offer she was always happy to provide you with a hardy laugh, an inflate-a-bed, and a plate of whatever she was cooking. Those of you that know her know that she was not the kind of person that waited until her house was in perfect shape before offering hospitality. She figured that if you couldn't accept real hospitality from real people, then that said more about you than it did about her. One of the most amazing things about her style of service and hospitality was that it never seemed to be a burden. She always seemed happy to do it. More than that, she made you feel that it was her greatest joy. All in all she was a remarkable woman, and it was not uncommon from time to time to hear someone comment, "That woman is a saint." Indeed, the heavenly kingdom will be that much better for having an extra pot of beans on the stove somewhere. She will be dearly missed.

Our beloved mother and wife passed away peacefully on June 25, 2011 in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area, after several strokes and a long battle with Alzheimer's. She was born Rosemarie Alexandrine Bell (but known to her family and friends as Romey) on September 11, 1934 in Shanghai, China, the youngest of 16 children. During WWII, she and many of her siblings were interned in a Japanese prisoner-of-war camp until they were repatriated in 1943 when they eventually settled in San Jose, California. Romey graduated from Notre Dame High School in 1951. She attended San Jose State University for two years before meeting the love of her life, Bill McIntire, who was a sergeant in the US Army. After a short courtship, they married on November 13, 1955. Over the next 23 years, they criss-crossed the globe living in countries such as Turkey, Lebanon, Germany, and Japan while raising a family. Despite the initial anxiety as a military wife, she learned to enjoy the overseas adventures, always excited to immerse herself in a new culture and meet new people. During the Vietnam War, she took on the dual role of father and mother for her children while her husband was transferred to Vietnam and Thailand. In 1976, she and Bill retired from the military in San Antonio, Texas. In 1984, she completed her Nursing Degree and worked as an ER nurse before being hired by USAA Insurance as a case manager. In an effort to be closer to her brothers and sisters, Bill and Romey moved to Sacramento, California in 1989 where she continued to work for USAA. In 2001, she opened up her own medical consulting business before retiring in 2005 to enjoy visiting their children and grandchildren, and traveling overseas to China and Europe.
Romey will be remembered for her compassion, her gentle, nurturing spirit, and for her love of people, always chatting with everyone and easily making friends. Probably the greatest joy in her life was her family. She was the family matriarch and a devoted wife and mother, guiding, caring, and protecting her children. She loved being a part of the large "Bell" family with all her many siblings and their families, enjoying time together, especially the summer reunions each year in San Jose. As a nurse, she freely helped others, always lending a helping hand wherever she could, and being a patient advocate. She loved to laugh and had an infectious giggle up to the very end. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Though we will miss her presence here on earth, heaven will be a better place with this most beloved and special angel.
She is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Bill; their four children, Kevin McIntire (wife, Nancy), Dennis McIntire (wife, Kim), Christina Coleman (husband, Josh), and Scott McIntire (wife, Heather); eight grandchildren, Amanda, Chris, and Kimmie McIntire; Lindsey and Matt Coleman; Valerie, Jake, and Jared McIntire; two great-grandchildren, Aubrie and Nathan; and her remaining siblings Joe, John, Marie, Peter, Richard, and Tony. She was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Nellie Bell, and siblings Ed, Frank, Paul, Lucille, Barney, David, Nellie, Chris, and Audrey.

After enjoying a blessed and adventurous life, Adam passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loved ones. He was a clever, straight-forward man who spoke his mind and encouraged debate. His charismatic nature and amazing sense of humor were combined with a presence that commanded attention. Adam was born in Scotland to parents, Mary Alexander Marshall Young Halliday and Andrew Dobbie Halliday; who cherished their only son.
He became a journeyman in the sheet metal trade in Scotland and also served in the British Army, where he played on the Army's Championship Rugby team. During his service, he was stationed in several countries in Europe and developed an appetite for travel. He loved soccer, good food, and laughter. At the age of 19 he met the "love and inspiration of his life," Mary Halliday, and they recently celebrated their 55th Anniversary. In 1967, Adam and Mary immigrated [along with their four daughters] to Canada and embarked on the adventure of their lifetime with travel being the great educator and exposure to different cultures, customs, languages, and a more worldly perception of events and ideas. Then in 1969, the family immigrated to America, staying briefly in New Jersey, and eventually settling in San Jose, California.
Adam held a vast array of roles during his lifetime, a family man, journeyman, foreman, designer, inventor, supervisor, inspector, business owner, coordinator, innovator, athlete, coach, adventurer, historian, traveler, but the one that seems to most accurately depict him and capture his essence is "Entrepreneur." He worked globally in the sheet metal industry for more than 50 years, owned and operated a sheet metal business in San Jose called "Advanced Sheet Metal" and became known to many as "The Man of Steel." His determination, all-encompassing resilience, and radiant love for his wife Mary was demonstrated every day! A loving and inspirational father to daughters, Doris Campa, Dawn Kulish, Doreen Sowards, and Andy Steen; proud grandfather to Camille, Amanda, Austin, Derek, Chantel, Shannon, Austin, Jaime Lynn, Ashley, Skyler, Haley and Kendall and admired father-in-law to David Campa, Jim Sowards, and Brett Steen. The Man of Steel is authentic and real!
Memorial Services will be held on Wednesday, February 9, 2011 at 1:30 p.m. at Santa Teresa Catholic Church, 794 Calero Avenue in San Jose, and followed by a reception at the church hall.

He garnered local fame for his Totem pole carvings, Charlie was the outdoors man of outdoors men, he loved to troll lake Shasta on the house boat he built with his own hands, and entertain family with his quick wit and great big smile.
He is now where he wanted most to be, resting peacefully with his wife Dorothy and smiling down on all his loved ones.
