On January 23, 2026 Wendell Bryan (“Bud”) Alexander, Jr. passed into the arms of his Savior Jesus Christ. Born on July 12, 1929 in Cincinnati, Ohio to his parents Wendell Bryan Alexander, Sr. and Alma Powell Alexander. Soon after he was born, the family moved to his mother’s home state, settling in Hampton, Virginia. A bright child, Bud (who was an only child) had early academic successes. At the age of 14 his teachers gave him tests and the results were that he scored better than some of the teachers! Heeding the teachers’ advice to his parents, at age 15 Bud Alexander traveled alone by train to the University of Chicago, where he finished high school and attended college.
In 1947 at the age of 18, Bud put his college education on hold to serve two years in the U.S. Army. For those two years he was part of the army of occupation in Germany, helping Europe recover from World War II through the Marshall Plan.
After the army, he returned to the University of Chicago and obtained his Masters of Business Administration. Moving to Charlotte, North Carolina for work, he began attending the Covenant Presbyterian Church and its young adults group. There he met the love of his life, Carolyn Griffin. They married on October 1, 1955. Bud worked as a salesman for various companies while Carolyn worked as a legal secretary. They planned to enjoy several years of marriage before having children. But they forgot to consult their son Craig who was born in October 1956!
Moving to Atlanta, Georgia for work, they welcomed their “Georgia Peach” Adele on March 15, 1959. The Alexander family would move back to Charlotte, then to New Jersey, and finally to Cupertino, California for Bud’s work with IBM. Working for IBM as a salesman he was a consistent member of IBM’s Golden Circle Club for outstanding sales and service. During the last years of his time with IBM, he was in marketing research, traveling all over the world for IBM including Australia, a trip he doubly enjoyed with Carolyn as his traveling companion.
After retiring, he and Carolyn enjoyed world travel with family and friends, including a trip to Israel in 2000 with his children Adele and Craig and Craig’s wife Pam. Besides travel, Bud also served on several non-profit boards such as the Crisis Pregnancy Center (now RealOptions Obria Medical Clinics) in the San Francisco Bay area and did volunteer work for several organizations, including his church.
Bud choose to become a member of the Presbyterian Church at the age of 12. He served in various Presbyterian Churches, and later the Federated Church in Saratoga as a deacon and elder, and sang the choir. He also regularly attended Men’s Bible Studies. His favorite hymn is How Great Thou Art.
Bud is survived by his wife Carolyn, his son Craig and his wife Pam, his daughter Adele Fowler and her husband Duane Fowler, along with his granddaughter Julia McDaid and her husband Scott McDaid, his great-grandson Wesley, and great-granddaughter Violet.

Michael Anthony Regalbuto, age 64, entered into eternal life on Thursday, January 22, 2026. He was born on December 13, 1961 in Princeton, New Jersey the son of John and Carole (Zachman) Regalbuto. He grew up in Fort Worth, Texas and graduated from Nolan High School (1981). He went on to study Mechanical Engineering, earning a Bachelor’s Degree from Rice University (1984), Master’s from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (1986) and a PhD from Rice University (1990).
Mike and Deborah (Stephan) married in April 1990 and settled in Santa Clara, California. Mike was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving to cherish his memory are his siblings Mary, John (Monica), David (Carrie Olmsted) and loving children, Anthony (Deidre), Diana, Julia, and Peter. Mike is also survived by his two grandchildren, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
His professional career spanned 35 years with stints across tech companies in Silicon Valley, mostly in robotic automation. Among these were Adept Technologies, Seagate, Novatorque, and Lumentum. He enjoyed his time working at the GoogleX company Loon, which tried to use high-altitude balloons to provide internet service to more remote areas. He had recently entered retirement.
Mike was a true inventor. He spent much of his free time designing in his notebook and building in his “happy place” - his backyard shed. He had passions for gardening, robotics, Scouts, pottery, and moveable wire sculptures. His yard is a virtual orchard of all of the fruit trees he planted, tended and harvested. Family homes are full of his artistic creations. He was a beautiful, thoughtful letter writer, including authoring eulogies for both of his parents and the annual family Christmas card. He prided himself on making his readers laugh and his wife and children cringe a bit.
Mike was extensively generous. He gave his time and talents to the Boy Scouts of America - numerous trips to High Sierra with Tony, Den Leader and Wente trips with Peter, and lending his pottery expertise to kids at camp and the greater South Bay. He also fed his passion for robotics through many years mentoring the Robotics Team at Notre Dame High School (his daughters’ alma mater). He often delivered bags of fruit from his backyard trees to neighbors and sent full boxes to family members across the country. When he visited his grandchildren, he always brought a special activity to share with them. Grandpa Mike will be remembered alongside balloon hats, parachutes, tarp tents, and hours of weeding the garden.
Mike’s life will be celebrated at St. Justin Catholic Church in Santa Clara at a funeral Mass on Saturday, February 21 at 11:00am, followed by Burial at Santa Clara Mission Cemetery. Mike’s family will receive guests at St. Justin Catholic Church on Friday, February 20 at 3:30pm with a vigil to begin at 5:00pm.
In lieu of flowers, the family encourages donations in memory of Mike to the Notre Dame High School (San Jose) Robotics Team and Silicon Valley Monterey Bay Council, Scouting America (SVMBC).
Kindly keep Mike and his family in your thoughts and prayers during this difficult time. Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lord, and let perpetual light shine upon him.

Our beloved Lynne passed away on January 8, 2026, rejoining her parents and loved ones in heaven.
Lynne was born in Berkeley, California, to Dorothy and Arnold Rucker and later welcomed two brothers, Arnold and Gordon. She earned a bachelor’s degree in Education from San Jose State University in 1962, where she was a member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority and formed lifelong friendships.
After college, Lynne taught in the Sunnyvale Elementary School District before teaching a year for the Department of Defense in Germany. Upon returning to California, she settled in Menlo Park, where she met Ron Hanson. They married in 1967 and shared 58 wonderful years together. Her husband and four children were her greatest joy, and she was a mother extraordinaire. She created a home filled with warmth and cherished traditions—homemade birthday donuts, summer vacations at Pine Mountain Lake, Thanksgiving taffy pulling, and Christmas talent shows.
Throughout her life, Lynne championed and empowered children, giving them the gift of self-respect and a love of learning. She established a highly successful tutoring business and pioneered her own method of teaching reading, becoming known for her ability to teach children to read in as little as 40 minutes. Her program, First Focus Phonics / Hanson Reading—now SkyRocket Reading—grew into a comprehensive curriculum, impacting nearly 3,000 students over her lifetime.
A devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Lynne served faithfully in her church. She served as Primary president, Relief Society president, counselor in Young Women’s, Sunday School teacher, Seminary teacher, Cub Scouts den mother, and temple ordinance worker. Extending her service beyond the church, she also conceived and led the City of Cupertino’s Fourth of July children's parade for many years.
Lynne was authentic, cheerful, warm, and giving. If she identified a need, she took it upon herself to meet it, leaving those she encountered feeling seen, valued, and uplifted. She spent her days finding someone to visit, encourage, or serve, and we know she continues her labors of love above.
Lynne is survived by her loving husband, Ron Hanson; her brothers, Arnold and Gordon Rucker; her children, Steve Hanson, Andy Hanson, Ryan Hanson, and Kristine Jackson; her grandson, Ford; and her twelve bonus grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren through her daughter’s marriage.
Lynne will be remembered as a woman of faith, intellect, and unwavering support—a steady presence and a true blessing to all who knew and loved her.
A celebration of life will be held on January 31 at 10:00 a.m. at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints chapel, 19100 Allendale Ave., Saratoga, CA. Those attending may wear bright colors to celebrate her joyful life.

Dolores answered the Lord's call on January 7th. Though active and aging well, a hip fracture touched off a series of health challenges before she found lasting peace, joy, and her previous good health up above.
Dolores was raised in the Chicago suburb of Niles, Illinois, the youngest of three, by parents Stanley and Antonette. She loved music and dance and also played the accordion. When her mother worked nights, her dad taught her household basics that she happily mastered.
She met the love of her life and perfect match at a serviceman's going-away party. A deep, mutual attraction quickly blossomed into love and ultimate marriage to Henry Kloss. They both shared a love of music, dance, and spending time with friends and neighbors. The family quickly grew, and Dolores was quite adept at raising four daughters while keeping the household running smoothly. When the last child entered school, Dolores started part time work making computer punch cards and later became a certified floral designer at the Cupertino Florist, an art and skill that came naturally. She ended her career running data programs at De Anza College in the evenings where she earned high praise for her abilities and personal qualities.
The floral work and love of plants fed her soul, and was evident throughout her home, which she always took pride in. Special occasions for both family and friends were celebrated with her beautiful arrangements, and she brought those same skills to St. Joseph's Church, decorating the altar, and for other events, including school graduations. Sadly, Dolores lost her husband, Hank, in his 40's. This cut her deeply, and while she enjoyed other companions, she carried a torch for her husband all of her days. All who knew Dolores knew that she was smart, funny, stylish, thoughtful, and kind. During her last few years, despite many challenges, her smile grew to absolute radiant proportions, and everyone was touched by her beauty and sweetness.
Our family extends deep and heartfelt appreciation for her treasured caregivers who met not only her physical needs, yet more so, provided warmth, love, companionship and humor as she navigated her final chapter.
Her journey back to heaven was preceded by her two older brothers, Edwin and Alwin Wolowiec. Dolores leaves behind four daughters, Denise Iwata (Brian), Sandi Jacobson, (David), Karen Ventura (Michael), and Susan Kloss; five grandchildren, Kevin Iwata (Charlene), Nick Iwata (Krisse), Runa Jacobson, Michael Jacobson (Amanda Phares), and Gregory Ventura; three great-grandchildren, Alice, Landon, and Carson.
All services will be held at St Joseph Church, 10110 N De Anza Blvd, Cupertino, with a Vigil on Wednesday, January 21 at 6pm and a Funeral Mass on Thursday, January 22 at 11am. Burial will follow at Gate of Heaven Catholic Cemetery in Los Altos.
